Pocketed coils stop motion
in it’s tracks.
Pocketed coils, or individually wrapped coils, are coils that are fully encased in a light, breathable fabric. Each coil being fully enclosed prevent coils from getting tangled which causes the coil to break down and stop provding support. With dual guage pocketed coils throughout our hybrid mattress you get plenty of support all the way to the edge of the mattress, durability, and a significantly longer life over traditional coils.
A double-row of perimeter coils supports life on the edge.
Two rows of 16 gauge pocketed coils along the entire perimeter of the mattress reinforces edge support so you can sit, lean, or kick that leg out over the edge and the Layla Hybrid won’t let you down.

The highly breathable material wrapped around the coils keeps air moving whether the coil is compressed or not, so ample air flows through the mattress expelling warm air that could otherwise get trapped in the mattress layers causing your body to overheat.

Thermal regulation in a mattress depends on one thing - air flow. To prevent a mattress from overheating, it must allow air to circulate through its layers, and without adequate airflow it’s nearly impossible to keep a mattress cool.
Our zoned transition layer is more than adequate. It’s the primary conduit for copious amounts of airflow, and keeping the air circulating allows the other cooling elements in the mattress to be better at their jobs too. Hot air really does suck.
